sflan5 sits on top of my house and I go through the exploratorium->building35->building116 to get to the net.

There has been a software upgrade that has helped me use it: The wire coming into my house has NAT/DHCP on it, and I then use it to power my internal Dlink 1000AP's to spread the net into my house. This does not allow me to use my printer when I am on those ap's but it seems to work well otherwise.

I am getting about 100KB/sec when downloading files from the Internet Archive. This is 1/3 what we hope to get after we ream out the network, but at least it is faster than my dsl line.

we have yet to do the tunneling thing or speed optimize this network, but at least now I can use it smoothly from inside my house.
